Faceless killers

One night in early spring, an elderly farmer and his wife are savagely murdered in an isolated and rural area of southernmost Sweden.

The police are puzzled. There doesn't seem to be a motive for the killings, neither robbery nor revenge. Heading the investigation is Detective Superintendent Kurt Wallander. His task isn't made any easier by the fact that at the same time a nearby refugee centre comes under a series of attacks which culminate in the slaying of a Somali refugee. This is the first book in the series about Kurt Wallander.
