On the 10th of may Henning Mankell visited Santiago de Compostela in Spain to accept the Arcebispo San Clemente Prize for his novel The Man from Beijing. The winner of the prize is selected by students from five secondary schools in the Spanish region Galicia who vote for the best foreign novel they have read during the year. Among previous winners are Paul Auster, Maro Vargas Llosa, José Saramago and Haruki Murakami.
