
On the 2nd of September Henning Mankell' s Daniel will be released in UK. In Daniel Henning Mankell tells the story of a young African boy who is brought to Sweden to be civilise. As well as an psychollgical depiction of the life of a child thrown into extraordinary circumstances, Daniel is also a compelling and disturbing tale of the dangerous gaps and misunderstandings that can exist between individuals and cultures.
The novel was originally published in Sweden in 2000 and it will be the second novel by Mankell published in UK this year. In February Mankell's UK publisher Harvill Secker published the much acclaimed The Man from Beijing.
