Henning Mankell along with several internationally acclaimed authors, among them Joyce Carol Oates, Ariel Dorfman and Paulo Coelho, have donated stories for a human rights anthology. The anthology is celebrating the 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The anthology is published by Amnesty International and all the royalties will go to them.
Henning Mankell has contributed the epilogue of the anthology in which he tells the story of Sofia, a young African woman who stepped on an landmine but who battled to survive, who is his great inspiration in life.
